Astralis has officially announced the departure of head coach Casper “ruggah” Due. The decision directly follows the early exit of the team during Stage 2 at the Cologne Major. Astralis confirmed the move through their official channels, thanking the Danish coach for his time with the organization.
Due was brought into the Astralis coaching staff in 2024. Throughout his tenure, he oversaw a significant structural shift as Astralis moved away from their traditional all-Danish lineup to field an international roster in early 2026. The team produced deep tournament runs under his leadership, reaching the Grand Finals of both PGL Astana 2025 and PGL Bucharest 2026. However, the lineup failed to secure a large international trophy during this period.
Astralis denies further roster adjustments
The departure of the head coach generated immediate speculation regarding potential player changes, specifically concerning in-game leader Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen. Astralis proactively addressed these reports with a follow-up statement.
The organization clarified its position by stating that rumors regarding any other changes to the team are unsubstantiated.
