Apex news: Peacekeeper Mythic skin, TPM 2.0, and Chained Offers

The latest Apex Legends update has arrived with a major addition to the Mythic shop, a new set of store bundles, and critical news regarding the future of game security. Players now have a new way to spend their Heirloom Shards while Respawn prepares to tighten the requirements for competitive play.

Peacekeeper Mythic Skin now craftable

The Mythic shop has expanded to include the Peacekeeper Mythic Skin, which is now officially craftable using Heirloom Shards. Previously tied to specific collection events, this evolving skin can now be secured by anyone who has managed to collect 150 shards.

Like other Mythic cosmetics, this Peacekeeper skin features multiple tiers that unlock as you deal damage with the weapon. Reaching the final tier grants a unique finishing animation and a distinct visual overhaul that highlights its status as one of the rarest weapon skins in the Outlands.

New Chained Offers available in-game

A new Chained Offers shop rotation has appeared, providing a series of sequential bundles that scale in value. These offers allow players to unlock high-tier items at a significant discount by progressing through the chain.

The current rotation includes the following highlights:

  • Apex Pack Bundle (2 Pack): Available for 100 Apex Coins (50% off).
  • 5 Battle Pass Stars Bundle: Completely free after the first purchase.
  • Beastial Instinct Sentinel Skin: Discounted to 750 Apex Coins.
  • Almost Too Easy Loba Pose: Available for 300 Apex Coins.
  • Petty Theft Loba Skin: A fan-favorite returning for 1,000 Apex Coins.

Ranked Security: TPM 2.0 and IOMMU requirements

In a move to further combat high-level cheating, Apex Legends may soon require TPM 2.0 for all ranked matches. This change is designed to enhance system security by ensuring that every PC participating in competitive play meets modern hardware safety standards.

Note: If you have Windows 11, you’re good since Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0 to install.

Alongside TPM 2.0, IOMMU enforcement will also be implemented. This technical layer is specifically aimed at blocking DMA (Direct Memory Access) attacks, which are used by sophisticated cheating hardware to read game memory without being detected by standard anti-cheat software. While these requirements may impact users on older hardware, the goal is to create a significantly more secure environment for the Ranked ladder.
