Two game wins in the last three, the second on match point, gave Team Liquid the Split 2 Playoffs and $600,000.
Team Liquid won the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 6 Split 2 Playoffs at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, closing out a nine-game match point final with a win on Storm Point. It is the organisation’s first title at an international ALGS LAN, and it came with $600,000 and 3,000 Championship points.
Liquid finished on 91 points, 11 clear of Team Vision in second. Forged Wolves were third on 76, with Aurora fourth and Alliance fifth.
Sixth after six games
Liquid were nowhere near the front for most of the final. After six games they had 40 points and sat sixth, while Alliance, Forged Wolves and White Grim Reaper had already passed the 50-point threshold and were one game win from the trophy. Team Vision joined them after taking game six with 18 kills.
Game seven on Olympus turned the final around. Liquid won it with 13 kills, their biggest haul of the day, while Forged Wolves and Vision, both on match point, finished second and third. The 25 points lifted Liquid to 65 and put them on match point too. Insider Gaming counted the win as Zer0’s 100th in ALGS matches.
Aurora took game eight on Storm Point, with Liquid third, so the final went to a ninth game on the same map. This time Vision were out early in 18th place, and Liquid outlasted RRQ in the last circle to take their second game win and the title.
Nicholas “Sikezz” Odom was named MVP of the event. He told Insider Gaming how close he had come to walking away from the game.
Yeah, I mean, there’s been throughout the last few years, there’s been multiple times where I almost quit. Because I was just like, it’s never gonna happen.
He gave the credit for the run to his in-game leader: “Honestly, Rhys [Zer0] is just the best IGL in the game.”

The roster
Liquid signed the former ZZ core of Rhys “Zer0” Perry and Sikezz in November 2025, then added Nathaniel “Panic” Arthur in February 2026 and coach Kapreme in March.
- Zer0 (Australia): the in-game leader and the most decorated of the three. He won the 2022 ALGS Championship and two earlier Playoffs titles before joining Liquid.
- Sikezz (United States): MVP in Las Vegas and the winner of his first ALGS LAN.
- Panic (United States): signed on 19 February after Fuhhnq was moved to the inactive roster.
From 33rd to Sapporo contenders
The title is a sharp turn for this roster. At the 2026 Championship in Sapporo in January, Liquid finished 33rd. In Split 1 they were sixth in the Americas Pro League and ninth at the Paris Playoffs in July, which UNLIMIT won ahead of Team Vision and Sentinels.
Before Sunday, the best Liquid had managed at an international ALGS event was second place at the 2022 Split 2 Playoffs, under a completely different roster.
The 3,000 Championship points take Liquid to 6,060 for the season, third in the standings behind Team Vision (8,250) and Aurora (6,066). With the Split 2 Playoffs the last points event of the year, the top 32 teams go straight to the Year 6 Championship, which returns to the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME in Sapporo from 28 to 31 January 2027 with another $2,000,000 on offer. The last eight places go through regional Last Chance Qualifiers.
Vision, second in both Playoffs this year, still lead the points table without a LAN title to show for it. For Sikezz, the target is already set: “I want to win Sapporo even more now.”
