Winning the IEM Katowice 2023 puts G2 ahead of everyone else. Since the BLAST Premier World Finals, G2 has been a completely different team. With a 90% win rate during the past three months, G2 is standing alone at the top of HLTV´s World Ranking list. The mixed European roster led by HooXi stood tall in 13 matches holding the fifth-longest win streak of all time at LAN events.

G2 recently participate in the ESL Pro League S17. With a clear status as the Group favorite, G2 managed to secure a spot in the playoffs. However, dominated by sh1ro, G2 saw themselves losing their precious 13-match win streak against a well-playing Cloud9 who went 4-0 in the group. Despite losing their win streak, G2 bounced back and took down MIBR and Fnatic in their following games.
