FURIA against Nemiga was the most-watched series of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, yet the event stays well short of PGL’s non-Major record.
FURIA‘s 3-2 win over
Nemiga Gaming on Saturday peaked at 667,736 concurrent viewers, according to Esports Charts. No other series in Bucharest came close: the next best was NAVI against Team Spirit in the group stage at 590,066.
NemigaAncient 2-13, Dust II 13-5, Cache 13-2, Mirage 11-13, Nuke 13-6Across 76 hours of airtime the event drew just over 20.1 million hours watched and an average audience of 264,558. Esports Charts still lists the tournament as being moderated, so the figures may move slightly. We covered the series itself in our grand final report.
Big step up for Bucharest, short of the top tier
The peak is more than double the April edition of PGL Bucharest, which FUT Esports won in front of a 320,700 peak, and well above the 518,849 that PGL Bucharest 2025 reached. Against the rest of the 2026 calendar, though, it sits in the lower half:
| Event | Peak viewers |
|---|---|
| IEM Cologne Major 2026 | 2.75M+ |
| IEM Kraków 2026 | 1.38M+ |
| PGL Astana 2026 | 1.16M+ |
| IEM Rio 2026 | 1.13M |
| PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 | 908,945 |
| ESL Pro League Season 24 | 747,055 |
| PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 | 667,736 |
| PGL Bucharest 2026 (April) | 320,700 |
It is not PGL’s best non-Major peak either. That mark belongs to PGL Astana 2026, which Esports Charts lists as the organiser’s most popular non-Major Counter-Strike event at more than 1.16 million. PGL Cluj-Napoca in February, where Team Vitality against PARIVISION drew 908,945, also beat it by more than 240,000. Bucharest also finished below ESL Pro League Season 24, which peaked at 747,055 three weeks ago.
FURIA and Spirit carried the audience
Two teams dominated the event’s five biggest series. FURIA played in three of them: the final, their group stage loss to Spirit (560,657) and the semi-final win over MOUZ (482,153). Spirit also featured three times, including against MOUZ (513,052), even though they went out before the playoffs.
Portuguese was the most-watched broadcast language of the event, with FURIA the last Brazilian team standing from the playoffs on. The biggest single channel, however, was Russian streamer strogo on Twitch, who peaked at 93,943 viewers and logged close to 2.6 million hours watched. That fits the shift we described in our piece on how co-streams now draw almost half of esports viewing.
Nemiga’s run from the European qualifier to the grand final gave the last day an underdog story, but their earlier playoff wins over FUT and Vitality did not crack the top five.
