The Norwegian organization Heroic has officially moved Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç to the bench. The decision marks the end of an 18-month tenure on the starting lineup for the Turkish rifler. The roster adjustment arrives one day after the organization named Joonas “doto” Forss as the team’s new head coach.
End of a tenure for the Turkish rifler
Since joining Heroic from Sangal at the beginning of 2025, xfl0ud helped the squad secure three tournament trophies and achieve a brief stint in the global top 10 rankings. The organization publicly commended his positive energy and motivating presence during his time on the active roster. The Turkish rifler played 259 maps for HEROIC, averaging a 1.08 rating.
In a public statement, xfl0ud expressed gratitude for his time with the team, describing his period wearing the red and white jersey as a ride filled with ups and downs. Current market rumors suggest the player is being targeted by FUT to replace Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea, though no official transfer has been confirmed yet.
Coaching staff changes
The removal of xfl0ud from the starting five follows an immediate restructuring of the coaching staff. Yesterday, Heroic announced the promotion of doto to head coach, replacing Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo. The organization also released analyst Mathias “R0nic” Pinholt.
The 30-year-old Finnish coach brings internal experience to the main roster, having coached the Heroic academy team for over a year before the project was discontinued. During his playing career, doto represented HAVU and ENCE, later transitioning to coaching with ENCE Prospects.
TOBIZ leaves the organization after exactly one year in charge. Hired in June 2025 to replace Eetu “sAw” Saha, the Danish coach secured a victory at DraculaN Season 5, a second-place finish at the CCT Global Finals, and qualification for the IEM Cologne Major. TOBIZ confirmed on social media that management informed him they wanted to take the project in a new direction.
Future lineup adjustments
Heroic is currently operating with a depleted starting roster. HLTV reports indicate the organization is looking to sign Gentle Mates AWPer Antonio “MartinezSa” Martinez. If signed, he would replace Simon “yxngstxr” Boije, who has served as a temporary sniper since Alimzhan “Alkaren” Bitimbay was benched due to recurring visa issues.
