B8 clinch Stage 2 spot over M80; Liquid vs HEROIC for elimination

An overtime Inferno was the difference between M80 and B8.

After two maps that went the distance, B8 came out on top, filling out the 3-0 pool at Stage 1. A staple of the early stages of Majors, the Ukrainian team closed out two maps 13-11 and 22-20.

M80 had chances to win Inferno, having three match points they squandered. They will have another chance to qualify tomorrow, with a domestic matchup against NRG.

Player of the match: alex666

From B8, alex666 was the all-rounder they needed to close out the match. He went 10-3 in opening duels, behind only Swisher and slaxz, but also won two clutches in this series. He also had the highest damage on the server, and the second-highest kills, with 108 damage per round and 52 kills.
