The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has published a recent press release stating that they have decided to lift a ban on the controversial coach Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen.
In the short statement, the esports watchdog state to have had a “constructive engagement” with HUNDEN leading to a joint agreement, in the words of HUNDEN himself.
HUNDEN’s ESIC ban lifted with immediate effect
Following today’s news and the recent statement, several people inside the CS:GO community has aired their criticism of ESIC – especially of their lack of transparency and mismanagement. One of the most vocal critics is CS:GO expert Janko “YNk” Paunovic.
– Shut ESIC down, it’s a joke at this point and it’s doing more harm than good, YNk wrote on Twitter and continued. The process feels like it has been so grossly mismanaged that everything that came out of their camp this whole year (if not longer) just makes you cringe.
Down below you can find other reactions from within the CS:GO world.
Agreed, completely out of touch from esports

The lack of information released about why ESIC decided to lift the ban speaks volumes to me – that the reason does not reflect well on them.
HUNDEN only thanked his lawyers and left it at that as well, suggesting there was some form of a legal back and forth behind the scenes. https://t.co/mLJtU6UC3h

ESIC's actions have made it clear: get lawyers involved and their rulings are meaningless and they'll find a way to let you off.
Pay-to-cheat.

STYKO lashes out at ESIC: They have not been transparent
peacemaker lawyered up and had his ban removed.
Hunden did the same.
Pretty straightforward.
Just another day in esports.

The lack of transparency from ESIC is unacceptable for an "Integrity Commission" https://t.co/3oVFjNjZmQ

Every time ESIC makes a decision I am left confused, there is always missing information or details that are left out… https://t.co/EE5761f3v7
