Jynxzi announces upcoming Apex Legends arc

Nicholas Stewart, better known to millions as Jynxzi, has officially signaled that he is entering his “Apex arc.” The top-tier Twitch streamer revealed that he plans to spend the next month or two grinding Apex Legends, marking a significant departure from his usual tactical roots.

Who is Jynxzi?

For those unfamiliar with the face of modern Twitch, Jynxzi is a 24-year-old streaming powerhouse from Florida who built his empire on Rainbow Six Siege. Known for his high-energy personality and comedic “rage” clips, he rose from streaming to single-digit audiences in 2019 to becoming the most-subscribed creator on the platform in 2023, surpassing names like Kai Cenat and xQc.

Having won Gamer of the Year and Best FPS Streamer at the Streamer Awards, Jynxzi has recently begun branching out into other major titles like Counter-Strike and Valorant. His move to Apex Legends is seen by many as the next chapter in his quest to dominate every major shooter in the industry.

The “Peak vs. Gutters” dilemma

During a recent broadcast, Jynxzi shared his conflicting thoughts on the game’s current reputation. He noted that while many veteran players still consider Apex to be “peak” in terms of movement and gunplay, he has also heard whispers that the game is “in the gutters” due to long-standing community frustrations.

Despite the mixed reviews, Jynxzi expressed that the game looks like it could be “really fun” and seems determined to experience the high-speed Battle Royale for himself.

By the numbers: Steam vs. Twitch

The “gutters” comment likely stems from a disconnect between who is playing the game and who is watching it. As of March 26, 2026, the data shows two very different stories:

  • Steam Dominance: Apex Legends remains a juggernaut on PC. It is currently the number 6 most played game on Steam, consistently holding a spot in the top 15. Today’s player peak reached nearly 300,000 concurrent users, proving the active player base is as healthy as ever.
  • Twitch Slump: On the viewership side, Apex is currently ranked 19th, averaging roughly 20,000 viewers across 1,200 active channels.

This disparity is exactly where Jynxzi’s influence comes into play. While the game has the players, it currently lacks the massive “event” viewership it once had. By entering his “Apex arc,” Jynxzi may be looking to bridge that gap and “revive” the game’s presence on the Twitch front page.
