Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2. The patch notes detail several adjustments, including structural changes to Inferno, updates to the Steam Community Market mechanics, and expanded map scripting tools.
Inferno: Bombsite A Adjustments
The most notable gameplay changes in this update center on Inferno’s Bombsite A. These adjustments are likely to impact how teams approach taking and defending the site:

- Graveyard Closed: The Graveyard area at Bombsite A has been closed to the public, removing a standard defensive position and post-plant angle.
- Balcony Extended: The Balcony at Bombsite A has been extended, altering the spatial dynamics for players exiting Apartments.
- Clipping Fix: Minor clipping adjustments have been made at the small window adjacent to the Second Mid Balcony to improve movement interaction.
Steam Community Market and Inventory Updates
The update introduces a significant quality-of-life change for players involved in trading and selling items:
- Usable Listed Items: Items listed for sale on the Steam Community Market will now remain in the player’s inventory and can be equipped in loadouts while active on the market. However, listed items cannot be modified or consumed (e.g., applying stickers). Listings can be canceled at any time.
- Terminal Limits: Players can now set a maximum offer limit in the Terminal, ensuring the Arms Dealer only displays offers up to that designated threshold.
- Animation Fix: A minor visual fix was applied to correct a slight tilt in the chicken running animation.
Map Updates and Scripting Additions
For the community mapping and modding scene, the update brings map revisions and deeper scripting capabilities:
- Workshop Maps: The community maps Warden and Sanctum have been updated to their latest workshop versions.
- Map Scripting Tools: Valve has added a comprehensive suite of scripting features. Additions include new functions for ammo management (e.g.,
GetClipAmmo,SetReserveAmmo), angular velocity tracking (GetAbsAngularVelocity), and more detailed event data such ashitEntityfor bullet impacts. The update also addresses previous bugs regarding jump input triggering and entity method restrictions.
