broky resurges to eliminate MOUZ from the Major in quarters

Adam 'torzsi' Torzsas is eliminated out of his home Major in the quarter-final.

Adam ‘torzsi’ Torzsas is eliminated out of his home Major in the quarter-final.

Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants went from being one of the lowest-rated players of the Major, to being the protagonist of FaZe’s run to the semi-final. He put up 40 kills over two maps, being the main reason FaZe was able to win 2-0.

MOUZ continue their quest for their first Major trophy. Before they failed for the seventh time against Vitality at Austin, this time they were upset by a red-hot FaZe.

broky saves Nuke for FaZe

FaZe kicked off their own map pick of Nuke with a dominant T-side. As torzsi said, MOUZ were not able to get a hot start against FaZe’s tactics.

They got a 9-3 half on the offensive side of Nuke. This included a 4k entry to close out the half from Jakub ‘jcobbb’ Pietruszewski. It looked done and dusted.

It was anything but, as MOUZ responded with an explosive and aggressive T-side. They won a strong pistol round with Ludwig ‘Brollan’ Brolin getting a 3k, and won the anti-eco despite losing three players.

Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman was key, as he found opening as the aggressive rifler, and MOUZ closed out clutch after clutch. They managed to take the lead of the match, from a 3-9 deficit.

The turning point for FaZe was when MOUZ reached 11 rounds. broky found a hige round AWPing outside that killed MOUZ’s streak. FaZe managed to barely close out the game 13-11, despite MOUZ’s admirable offensive side.

FaZe’s stars dominate MOUZ on Inferno

broky bought enough time for David ‘frozen’ Čerňanský and Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken to show their true colors. They went 56-17 in K/D collectively to shut down MOUZ.

FaZe got up to 4-0 against MOUZ, before MOUZ replied with a 2v3. It was too little too late though, as FaZe’s wall had come up, doing damage to MOUZ with utility.

In the late stages of the half, MOUZ kicked it up a notch, but lost all of the close situations, including two different post-plants on A-site. They come down to poor timings, or flustered decision-making.

While up 11-2 on T-side, FaZe won a 2v4 with broky getting 2 quick, signature kills with the Galil AR on Banana. That was final kick in the teeth for MOUZ, as torzsi leaves Budapest with MOUZ’s only quarter-final exit of 2025.

FaZe will face the winner of NAVI/FURIA, and continue their dream run in Budapest.
