FaZe stay alive at the Budapest Major with dominant win over 3DMAX

FaZe kept their Major dreams intact today at the StarLadder Budapest Major, taking down 3DMAX in a convincing 2-0 victory. The international powerhouse delivered two clean maps, winning 13-6 on Dust2 and 13-5 on Inferno, never allowing their opponents a way back into the series.

It was the response FaZe desperately needed after a shaky start to Stage 3, and the team finally looked like the version fans had hoped to see.

jcobbb’s breakout performance silences critics

All eyes were on FaZe’s newest addition, Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski. The young Pole has been under heavy scrutiny since joining the roster, but today he produced his strongest performance yet in a FaZe jersey.

jcobbb ended the series with an impressive 34-17 K-D, stepping up in crucial moments and showcasing incredible impact in pistol rounds. Whether opening rounds with clean multi-kills or closing out tight situations, he provided exactly the spark FaZe have been missing in recent matches.

For a player who has faced questions about his consistency and readiness for tier-one Counter-Strike, this performance could be a turning point.

Disappointing finish for 3DMAX

For 3DMAX, this marks the end of their Major campaign. After a strong year with several promising results, expectations were higher than what they ultimately delivered in Budapest. The team never found their footing against FaZe, and both maps slipped away quickly after early-round struggles.

Still, their 2025 season as a whole remains a success story, even if the Major run ends on a frustrating note.

FaZe vs Passion UA: a do-or-die match awaits

With the win, FaZe move into the 2-2 bracket, where they will face one of the Major’s biggest surprises: Passion UA. The matchup is simple, and brutal.

Win, and FaZe qualify for the playoffs.
Lose, and they are eliminated.
