Owen “smooya” Butterfield hasn’t had a fairy tale career so far with several transfers in and out of teams and not managing to put up a stable performance over a longer period of time. smooya explains on his Twitter that he has “made too many mistakes in my career outside of the game which have heavily messed with my career in the game.”
When the German powerhouse BIG signed the smooya in April 2018, they hoped that the Brit could be a potential and upcoming star due to his incredible numbers from his time in Epsilon. Even though the young AWPer showed a glimpse of his abilities and talents at BIG, smooya and BIG eventually parted ways.
After that, smooya had two unsuccessful stays at Chaos and c0ntact where he couldn’t either find his regular level of CS or the right role on the roster. This has meant that smooya has been a free agent since his parting with c0ntact.
