In 2015 Valve released a patch that introduced the R8-revolver, and it overtook every CS:GO server in existence due to the ridiculous damage output and accuracy that it bolstered. On top of this, you were able to buy it for only $850. It was basically a “pistol-AWP” that you were able to purchase every round. Even though you seldom see the R8 used now, it had 48 hours of glory back when it was released.
