Earlier this week it was announced by BLAST and the Mongolian Esports Association that the IHC roster would play under the banner of “The Mongolz” at the upcoming Major.
However, that was not something the management of IHC had any knowledge about making it seem like the players went behind their backs, the organization reveals in a statement.
– We are disappointed to learn that BLAST Premier 2023 made such a significant change and announcement without confirming with our management team whether it was allowed legally. We were not contacted before and were only made aware of this development through the public announcement made by BLAST Premier 2023, a part of the statement says.

The players own the rights
IHC furthermore inform that they’re currently investigating the matter, however, we have reached out to BLAST Premier who confirm that the qualification spot is owned by the players and not the organization.
BLAST Premier declined to give further comments.
