The Super Sonic event has officially launched on all platforms, bringing new cosmetics, an updated Wild Card mode, and the release of both the Death Duet dual katana and Super Sonic cosmetic bundles. Players can earn free rewards, complete event challenges, and unlock craftable cosmetics throughout the event window.

Mythic R-99 added to care packages
The R 99 mythic tier weapon is now a special care package gun, replacing standard R 99 drops during the event. This version uses the Bird of Prey mythic skin and comes with a full set of upgrades.
Bird of Prey R-99 mythic details:
• Increased movement speed while equipped
• Landing shots builds a lock on effect
• Homing missiles automatically fire once the lock on meter is full
• The weapon drops fully upgraded with all attachments
This makes the R 99 one of the strongest limited time weapons in the current rotation.
Pulse blade relic now available
The Pulse Blade relic has been added to Wild Card mode and may also drop from mythic bins.
Pulse Blade relic description:
Lethal and deadly, detects nearby enemies with a brief sonar pulse.
Free rewards in the super sonic event
Players can claim a free Super Sonic pack and a bundle of crafting metals during the event. All Super Sonic legend cosmetics can be crafted for 2400 crafting metals each.
Updated Wild Card mode
The event update refreshes Wild Card mode with the latest content, including map wide mythic drops, relic spawns, and faster paced movement. The Death Duet dual katanas and Super Sonic bundles are now available for direct purchase in the store.
ALGS year 5 Twitch drop
The ALGS Year 5 badge will be available as a Twitch drop from January 15 to January 18, 2026. Watching official ALGS broadcasts during that window will grant the badge automatically.
Super sonic event challenges
The following limited time challenges are now active during the event:
• Play 2 matches
• Deal 750 damage
• Deal 300 damage with the R 99 in any mode
• Get 5 kills or assists
• Craft a Wild Card at a Replicator 3 times
Completing these challenges grants event XP and progress toward Super Sonic rewards.
