HEROIC have named Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo as their new head coach, the Norwegian organisation announced on Saturday.
The 30-year-old arrives from MOUZ NXT, where he’s been at the helm since early 2022. His appointment comes as a replacement for Eetu “sAw” Saha, who recently joined G2 Esports alongside Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia.
TOBIZ’s tenure at MOUZ NXT was his first professional coaching role, during which he oversaw the development of several now-established names.
The list includes the likes of Jimpphat, siuhy, xertioN, sl3nd, Chr1zN, and PR – some of whom TOBIZ helped bring into the team.
Promising squad
Now, he joins HEROIC at a time of significant rebuild. The current roster features just three players: Linus “LNZ” Holtäng, Simon “yxngstxr” Boije, and star rifler Andrey “TN1R” Tatarinovich.
According to a report from Sheep Esports, the organisation is expected to round out the lineup with two more young guns in the talented AWPer Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin and Linus “nilo” Bergman, who is reportedly set for a return to the starting five after spending six months on the bench.
HEROIC’s reported roster for next season:
Linus “LNZ” Holtäng
Simon “yxngstxr” Boije
Linus “nilo” Bergman
Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich
Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin
Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo (coach)
