HooXi opens up about future and Astralis situation

"Astralis is in a place right now, where things are a bit in limbo," HooXi has said.

Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen proved many doubters wrong two weeks ago when he, as a stand-in, led Astralis to the Grand Final at PGL Astana.

Despite the impressive run, HooXi confirmed shortly after that no permanent deal had been reached with the Danish organization.

Now, the 30-year-old has shared more insight into the situation around Astralis and his future. Something he did in a new episode of All About Counter-Strike with James Banks and dewilwalk.

– Astralis is in a place right now, as you know with all the rumours and stuff, where things are a bit in limbo. We don’t really know what’s going on, and I’m not sure if they know either, HooXi said and continued:

– As an organization and as a team, they don’t have anything to do for the next five weeks. They are not going to the Major, and then there’s a player break, so nobody is really in a rush either. If something were to happen with me signing for them, there’s no rush anyway. I think that if I have to consider a lot of other things, it would also be after the Major, so I am back to the grind I was doing before.

James Banks: If Astralis offered you a deal today, would you say yes?

– Probably yes. I like the guys, and there is way more potential. So, I don’t see why not. But at the same time, I don’t know what else could come up, and until it’s like a reality, I don’t even want to put too much thought into it.
