Virtus.pro is building serious playoff potential under electroNic’s leadership.
Virtus.pro is just one win away from securing a playoff spot at PGL Bucharest and it’s no coincidence. Since Denis “electroNic” Sharipov took over as in-game leader earlier this year, the squad has shown steady progress and a much clearer identity.
Now playing one of the most challenging roles in CS2, electroNic has embraced the task with determination. Despite being a Major winner with NAVI back in 2021, he sees this new chapter with Virtus.pro as just as meaningful.
“I want to prove to everyone, and myself, that I can be a really good IGL,” he said in a pre-event interview with James Banks for PGL.
Virtus.pro’s direction is finally clear
Virtus.pro’s rebuild has centered around structured team discussions and finding a playstyle that suits their unique roster. According to electroNic, that identity is starting to form, but there is still room for improvement.
“I won’t say I’m 100% happy, but I’m close to this,” electroNic admitted. “I can see a lot of players are growing from this time.”
The squad has already shown they can go toe to toe with top-tier competition, and the players seem increasingly confident in their roles and synergy.
“We are just growing as a team. Discussing how we’re going to play. Everyone thinks the same way now.”

With a win in their next match, Virtus.pro would officially move into the playoff bracket at PGL Bucharest. If their current form holds, they could be one of the dark horses of the tournament. Virtus.pro is facing GamerLegion this morning at 09.00 CEST.
