They came as the big underdogs and took the world of Counter-Strike with surprise when they managed to beat Team Vitality at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. Later on, they would end up losing to Heroic, a top-three team in the world right now, but that doesn’t take anything from their performance. The team even had to play with a stand-in at the tournament.
9z was founded in Argentina in 2019.
The roster:
🇦🇷 Santino ‘try’ Rigal
🇺🇾 Franco ‘dgt’ Garcia
🇺🇾 Maximiliano ‘max’ Gonzalez
🇧🇷 Bruno ‘bit’ Lima
🇦🇷 Martin ‘rox’ Molina
🇪🇸 Rajohn ‘EasTor’ Linato (Stand-in at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown)
Especially Santino ‘try’ Rigal has been excellent at the tournament. Only 16-year-old the young Argentinian looks very promising for the future. Watch some of his best highlights here.
