Who will make it to IEM Katowice?

Eight spots are up for grabs at the IEM Katowice Play-in, starting this Wednesday.

The battle for a coveted IEM Katowice spot is set to begin this Wednesday as the Play-In stage kicks off.

Sixteen teams have arrived in Poland, each aiming to earn a place in one of Counter-Strike’s most prestigious tournaments. However, only eight teams will advance to the main event, where they will join the likes of Spirit, G2, and Vitality.

Top-tier teams in the mix

Several high-profile names such as FURIA, Liquid, Astralis, and HEROIC will be competing in the Play-In, making for an intense and unpredictable race to the top. The action kicks off at 10:30 CET today, with multiple exciting matchups right from the start.

The Play-In stage features a double-elimination bracket, with all matches played as best-of-three. Teams that secure two wins in the upper bracket will advance directly to the main event, while teams that suffer two losses will be eliminated.

The remaining spots will be decided through lower-bracket qualification matches.

The Play-In stage concludes on Friday, February 2, when the final teams will lock in their spots for the prestigious IEM Katowice main event.
