The new tournament for academy teams enjoyed great success in its inaugural season. The WePlay Academy League introduced the concept of a league of its own for academy teams, where we saw the likes of Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov from NAVI Junior and Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás from MOUZ NXT make a name for themselves throughout the two seasons in 2020.
Now the structure for Season 3 has been revealed. Two new teams will join the action. Spirit Academy and Eternal Fire Academy have been included in the upcoming season, which will take place from January 3rd.
The 10 teams will fight in two separate groups to try and qualify for the playoffs, which will take place in the WePlay Esports Arena in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The first two seasons were won by MOUZ NXT.
