Team Vitality and NAVI played the first quarter-final of Gamers8 late last night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The match started with Vitality running over NAVI on Mirage. Shahar “flameZ” Shushan went 22-4 in K-D in the 16-2 win. The reigning Major champions finished off NAVI on Nuke by winning 16-11 and are now ready for the semi-finals in the $1,000,000 tournament.
Earlier on FaZe was knocked out by Virtus.pro after a three-map thriller, where Jame and company reverse sweeped FaZe by winning Inferno and Overpass 16-14, 16-14. Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants had a bad day on the server, which ended up tipping the match in favor of Virtus.pro, who will play G2 in the quarter-final. VP’s possible route to the final is arguably one of the toughest in recent history with matches against FaZe, G2, and Team Vitality on the card.
