It was clear, that it was a confident Virtus.pro team who showed up in the opening round of DreamHack Open. The Russian bears come from a massive triumph in Flashpoint 2 where they grabbed the trophy and the huge $500.000 1st prize. Virtus.pro continued their strong form when they took upon the female team of XSET in the first match at the event. It was quickly shown that XSET was heavily overmatched, even though, they pulled up acceptable performances on both maps.
The Kazakhstan duo of Timur “Buster” Tulepov and Alexey “qikert” Golubev led Virtus.pro to the confident 2-0 victory through victories on Dust2 and Vertigo.
