The Mongolian squad overcomes Team Liquid in a three-map thriller to book a date with Team Vitality.

After overcoming a challenging period, The MongolZ have secured their place in the Semi-Finals at IEM Melbourne, thanks to a standout performance by Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch.

The second Quarter-Final of the tournament turned into an all-out battle as The MongolZ clashed with Team Liquid for a coveted spot in the next round, where top-ranked Team Vitality awaits.

The match began with each team confidently winning their own map picks. Liquid took Anubis, while The MongolZ dominated on Ancient.

It all came down to Inferno, where both sides traded momentum in a thrilling, back-and-forth finale. Backed by the enthusiastic Melbourne crowd, The MongolZ found the strength for a final push. Despite a valiant effort from Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, who kept Liquid in contention with several high-impact rounds, it was “910” who stole the spotlight, finishing Inferno with an impressive 30-15 K-D.

The MongolZ now prepare to face world number one Team Vitality in tomorrow’s Semi-Finals.
