G2 is off to a horrible start at PGL Astana, now staring down the threat of early elimination after two consecutive losses in the opening rounds.
The team first fell to MIBR on Saturday, before suffering another blow against ODDIK — ranked #92 in the Valve standings — on Sunday evening.
In the aftermath, G2 head coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas took to X to share a brutally honest reaction to the team’s form. TaZ, who is currently standing in due to the absence of Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač, didn’t hold back.
– It’s a horror, it’s disgusting how we play, but it is not a one-man game, not one guy fault. We need to step up as a group of people. Time to show character and transform this abysmal performance into something we can be proud of. These are the best lessons u can have in life. Welcome adversity with open arms, TaZ wrote.
Do or die
G2 currently sit in the 0-2 bracket heading into Monday’s crucial match against M80. One more loss, and their run in Astana will be over before it ever really started.
TaZ has been forced to jump on the server together with Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski at PGL Astana, because huNter- had visa issues ahead of the tournament.
