FaZe will have to without their new superstar Robin “ropz” Kool at the Play-In tournament for IEM Katowice and also some of the early stages of the prestigious main event if the team manages to qualify.
This comes as a huge blow for the Finn “karrigan” Andersen-led side, as they are forced to find a new fifth just days before the start of the event.
ropz posted the following statement on Twitter on Wednesday:
– Me and the team arrived at our bootcamp for IEM Katowice on Monday. Today I unfortunately tested positive for COVID, having developed some symptoms too. I won’t be able to start on Day 1 at IEM but could come later depending on my recovery and our team’s progress. I have started my quarantine to keep everyone safe, it will end on the 19th of February.”

The rest of the FaZe roster is set to kick off their IEM Katowice Play-in campaign on Tuesday, where they will square up against the Germans from Sprout in an important opening-round matchup.
