Rare Atom secured their first win at the event after winning 2-0 over Liquid in the opening match. The currently third-best team in the world stood no chance against the better team from Rare Atom who dominated the Liquid over two maps.
Starting things off on Inferno, Rare Atom came out pressing the speeder to the absolute limit as they controlled the game in every aspect. With a 9-6 half in favor of Rare Atom. The Chinese roster only needed seven rounds on the favored CT side to close out map one. Despite Liquid trying their best to make the comeback, Rare Atom led by Kaze was quick to close out the game on the CT side. Rate Atom won Inferno 16-11.
On Overpass, it’s fair to say that Liquid got demolished. A quick match that only took Rare Atom half an hour to secure their first win of the event. With all five players of Rare Atom playing great CS, Liquid saw things get out of hand as they only managed to get three rounds in total. Rare Atom won Overpass 16-3.
