It’s been a chaotic Monday for FaZe Clan, with the team announcing a string of major roster moves — including the benching of Helvijs “broky” Saukants and the shocking short-term signing of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
Toward the end of the day, it was also revealed that Håvard “rain” Nygaard could potentially miss IEM Dallas, sparking questions about another sudden lineup change.
Now, the Norwegian rifler has clarified the reason, and it’s for all the right ones.
A busy day for FaZe
If rain does end up skipping the tournament, FaZe will field two stand-ins in Dallas. Alongside s1mple, who has joined on loan from NAVI, the team has also brought in Brazilian rifler Felipe “skullz” Medeiros as a substitute.
skullz is currently benched on FURIA and was added to the roster earlier on Monday in case rain is unable to travel to Texas.
That means FaZe’s lineup for IEM Dallas — starting May 19 — could look very different, with s1mple and skullz joining forces with karrigan, frozen, and EliGE.
