This Wednesday, G2 secured a 2-1 series victory over NiP, losing their opponent’s map pick of Nuke 11-16 before winning Dust2 and Inferno, 16-11 and 16-14 respectively. G2’s Nikola “NiKo” Kovac was the key difference between the two squads and did his absolute best to drag his team over the line to secure a spot in the upper semi-finals of the event. The Bosnian dropped 82 frags across the series, whilst finishing as the MVP with a 1.46 Rating and 103.9 ADR.

In the match against Ninjas in Pyjamas, NiKo ended up making the highlight of the series by winning a tough 1v2 situation, in which he only used two bullets on 18HP. First off, he one-tapped Plopski out of the window on the B-site of Nuke before killing hampus who only needed 0.69 seconds to defuse the bomb and secure the round for his team.
