The historic exit of Astralis from the EU RMR tournament in Malta was a tragedy waiting to happen. Without their injured rifler Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke the expectations were already lowered, though most had probably predicted Astralis to find their way to Rio. With today’s loss against forZe, Astralis lost their chance of qualifying which immediately was slammed on Twitter.
Former stand-in player for Astralis and now analyst, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche commented on the situation directly after the match.
None of the Astralis players have yet to comment on the exit.
