npl after going 3-0: Teams from other regions play weaker CS

The European qualifier for the Austin Major is tougher than Stage 1 at the actual Major itself.

A bold statement, but if you ask B8’s in-game leader Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi, it’s the truth.

Speaking to HLTV following B8’s flawless 3-0 run in Austin, npl was asked about the difference in level between the two tournaments.

– Yes, for sure, this [Stage 1] is obviously easier. Because teams from other regions play weaker CS, that’s all, npl said.

On B8’s smooth campaign in Texas, the Ukrainian IGL confidently added:

– I would say that it wasn’t hard, because Stage 1 has a lot of weak teams, and we were one of the favorites, so I don’t think that’s a surprise.

B8’s captain is backed up by HEROIC’s Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich, who also believes Stage 1 is easier than the European qualifier — something he shared in an interview with HLTV as well.

On their way to the final, B8 started off by taking down the South Americans from Imperial before defeating Wild Card from the North American region yesterday.

In their second match, OG got handed a loss by npl and his troops.
