Is this the roster that will bring NIP back to the top of Counter-Strike?
Ninjas in Pyjamas is kicking off the 2025 season with a revamped roster, as the organization confirms the signing of four new players this Wednesday.
Joining the Swedish organization are captain Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, Rasmus “sjuush” Beck from HEROIC, and a promising Portuguese duo of Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing and Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto.
The newly assembled quartet will team up with Artem “r1nkle” Moroz, the sole survivor from NIP’s 2024 squad.
This roster overhaul sees the departures of Isak “isak” Fahlen, who has joined Metizport, and long-standing NIP player Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, who has made the move to GamerLegion.
No VRS points, no party
Despite fielding a competent and strong lineup, NIP is expected to face an uphill battle in 2025, as they lack sufficient VRS points to secure direct invitations to tier-1 tournaments.
As a result, Snappi and company will need to climb the ranks by competing in qualifiers and smaller events.
The new-look NIP roster is set to debut tomorrow at 10:00 CET, where they will face AMKAL in the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16 Closed Qualifier.
