The HEROIC rifler has been forced to take a step back due to “personal circumstances.”

Yesterday, HEROIC provided an update on the status of Linus “nilo” Bergman, announcing that the young Swedish rifler will remain sidelined indefinitely.

Despite being signed during the off-season with high expectations, the Swedish super talent has yet to make his debut for the team.

In their official statement, HEROIC cited personal challenges as the reason behind nilo’s absence:

“Linus has encountered personal circumstances that made the significant leap to Tier 1 Counter-Strike particularly challenging at this time.”

Following HEROIC’s update, nilo addressed the situation directly in a post on X, stating that he needs to take a step back.

– I’m really thankful to have signed with Heroic. Joining a Tier 1 team has always been my dream, but sometimes unexpected things happen that are out of your control. Due to personal circumstances, I need to take a step back for now.

– I’ll take the time to work hard and come back stronger. Thank you to Heroic and the fans for your understanding and support—it means the world to me.

Despite his impressive potential and strong performances last year, nilo will need to work hard to earn his place back in the starting lineup.

Because HEROIC has made it clear that their roster is locked in, and that nilo does not have a guaranteed spot.

HEROIC is set to play BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals, starting on Thursday this week.
