In an interview with Washington Post, NAVI CEO, Yevhen Zolotarov has commented on the severe circumstances for the Ukrainian team but also expressed their position regarding employing Russian citizens.
– We are not going to work with people who live in Russia and who pay taxes to the Russian Federation. (…) we are ready to help relocate players who don’t share the Russian Federation’s politics, Zolotarov stated.
NAVI is currently fielding three Russians on their roster – Denis “electronic” Sharipov, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, and Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy. When asked about their status and future in NAVI, Zolotarov said the following.
– We hope that we are going to keep this roster and that the Russia-based players are going to relocate.
