A tense opener on Dust2 was followed by a dominant performance on Mirage as MOUZ powered past FaZe to secure a spot in the BLAST Rivals semi-finals.
FaZe got off to a disastrous start on their map pick, Dust2, losing the first seven rounds before finally getting on the scoreboard. It was a tough beginning for Finn “karrigan” Andersen and his squad, who have struggled to find consistency against top-tier opposition in 2025, particularly following the addition of Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski.
Despite the early deficit, FaZe mounted an impressive comeback, stringing together 10 consecutive rounds to take a 10-8 lead. MOUZ appeared rattled, with in-game leader Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin posting his second-lowest rated performance of the year.
Fortunately for MOUZ, their resilience shone through. Dorian “xertioN” Berman delivered the moment of the match with a stunning 1v4 clutch, turning the tide and closing out Dust2 13-10 in MOUZ’s favor – a career-highlight from the Israeli rifler.
Déjà Vu on Mirage
Fans watching the quarter-final might have felt a sense of déjà vu as Mirage kicked off with another 7-0 lead for MOUZ—this time on their own map pick. A dominant 10-2 first half left FaZe with virtually no hope of a comeback.
MOUZ entered the map riding a four-game win streak on Mirage, including two victories against Vitality, and they showed no signs of slowing down.
Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo was the star of the show in the first half, delivering a jaw-dropping 21-2 K/D performance. The Finnish prodigy was simply unstoppable. MOUZ quickly eliminated FaZe in the second half without dropping a round winning 13-2. Jimpphat ended the map with 27-3 K-D score and a massive 2.92 rating, which is the highest map rating of his career!
MOUZ will play Falcons tomorrow in the Semi-Finals in Copenhagen.
