MOUZ and Spirit cruised through their BLAST Open Lisbon quarter-finals with dominant 2-0 wins over G2 and Natus Vincere, respectively, setting up two exciting semi-final matchups on Saturday.
xertioN Shines as MOUZ Crush G2
In a rematch of their recent ESL Pro League clash, MOUZ swept G2 aside on Inferno (13-8) and Nuke (13-3), led by a monster performance from Dorian “xertioN” Berman. The Israeli rifler posted a 1.83 rating and 120 ADR, topping the scoreboard on both maps and proving near-unstoppable in duels.
While MOUZ were firing on all cylinders, G2 looked disjointed in their first arena match with the new lineup. Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski cited stress and communication issues, and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov couldn’t replicate his previous heroics. MOUZ now face Eternal Fire in Saturday’s first semi-final.
Spirit Outclass NAVI to Set Up Clash with Vitality
Later in the evening, Spirit made short work of Natus Vincere, winning 13-7 on Dust2 and 13-6 on Anubis. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets delivered another masterclass with a 1.70 rating, supported by Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov’s 1.60.
NAVI’s surprise Anubis pick backfired, and the team looked off-pace throughout. Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy recorded the worst LAN rating of his career (0.62), as NAVI struggled to find cohesion. Spirit will now challenge red-hot Vitality, riding a 14-match win streak, in Saturday’s headline semi-final.
Saturday’s Semi-Finals:
- MOUZ vs Eternal Fire – 17:30
- Spirit vs Vitality – 20:30
Two hot showdowns await in Lisbon.
