BLAST Premier has been a significant figure in the professional Counter-Strike scene for a long time, where the tournament organizers have run some of the biggest and most prestigious events of the calendar year – in nearly every continent on the planet. However, they are yet to hold a Major despite their great success over the years.
That was something we spoke with BLAST Premier’s Managing Director, Charlotte Kenny before this summer. Here Kenny said the following: “BLAST is always interested in hosting a Major. What’s important is that our community wants to have a Major hosted by BLAST, so that we can make sure that is the best Major that ever will be and that it fits in with our strategy. Watch this space. When the time is right, we will do a Major.”
