Spirit enter the BLAST.tv Austin Major as one of the top contenders for taking home the title in Texas. The one big hurdle standing in their way: Vitality.
The French side arrives with six straight titles and a 30-match winning streak, making them the clear team to beat at the Major.
We spoke with Spirit’s Boris magixx” Vorobyev about Vitality and if it requires a perfect game to take them down.
But perfection is not achievable, according to magixx.
– I believe that you can’t play perfectly; instead, you should be using resources to communicate well and keep everyone alive inside of the game. You can never play to perfection, you can only chase it.
Reigning champions
Spirit come into Austin as defending Major champions after their stunning title run in Shanghai last year. But does magixx feel any pressure because of that?
– No, why would I? There are not many occasions where I feel pressure, basically. Being the defending champions is not a pressure.
Spirit’s Major campaign starts today when they take on paiN in the opening round of Stage 3.
