The playoff race at ESL Pro League Season 21 is heating up, and on Monday, MOUZ became the latest team to punch their ticket with a dominant performance against Liquid.
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin and his squad left no doubt in their 2-0 sweep, outclassing Liquid in every department and delivering a statement victory in Stockholm.
The series kicked off on Ancient, where MOUZ dictated the pace, securing a 13-8 win. Any hopes of a Liquid comeback were quickly shut down on Nuke, as MOUZ steamrolled to a 13-4 victory, leaving Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and his team with no answers.
With this result, MOUZ joins Vitality, Spirit, and The MongolZ as the fourth team to qualify for the ESL Pro League playoffs, where $1 million is on the line.
For Liquid, the road isn’t over just yet. The North American squad will have one last opportunity to secure a playoff spot in a must-win series tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in a simultaneous match, paiN’s tournament run came to an end at the hands of Eternal Fire. The Turkish squad lives to fight another day and will have one final shot at the playoffs in their next matchup.
Today’s results
