📍Pley at BLAST.tv Austin Major.
It’s usually seen as a luxury to skipp the early stages of a Major — a reward earned by teams like Vitality, Spirit and other top seeds. But for FaZe, entering at Stage 2 might just be exactly what they need.
With a new dynamic in the team and limited time together, the extra matches could come up extremely handy for the FaZe squad.
A point that Finn “karrigan” Andersen shared with Pley when we caught up with the FaZe captain after yesterday’s matches at BLAST.tv Austin Major.
– Most important thing is that I want to do some magic here at the Major, given the situation that we’re in with s1mple standing in. I hope we can find some consistency, and I’m actually happy that we’re playing in this stage.
karrigan elaborates:
– This is our first official day with both rain and s1mple, so I’m looking forward to seeing what it can be. I really want to go out there and show the world that – even though the results this season has been really bad for our standards – when the Major comes, we can always make a final punch.

Strong start in Austin
FaZe have kicked off their Major campaign in style, picking up two convincing wins in Stage 2. First, they crushed HEROIC 13-3, and followed it up with another dominant showing against TYLOO.
With that, karrigan’s crew are now just one win away from locking in a Stage 3 spot, where the top dogs await. FaZe will meet Legacy in their 2-0 matchup this Sunday.
