Helvijs “broky” Saukants has been struggling on the server so far this year. There’s no way around it.
Alongside his FaZe teammates, the Latvian AWPer has had a hard time finding the level that once made them the best team in the world earlier this year.
FaZe captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen admits that broky’s form has been “rough”.
Something he addressed in a recent interview with HLTV ahead of BLAST Rivals Season 1.
– We are doing what we can to help broky, and I think he has it inside him.
– We all know broky’s peaks — if he hits that level on the server, everybody starts to be scared of him, and the game becomes so easy for us. We can’t rely on that, and obviously, his performance this year has been rough, but at the same time, the whole team has been rough. We’re still working through it, but hopefully we’ll get a broky performance here, or I would gladly welcome it at the Major, karrigan said.
broky’s stats in 2025
- 1.01 rating vs Top 20 teams
- 0.89 rating vs Top 10 teams
- 0.92 rating vs Top 5 teams
karrigan on the criticism
In the same interview, karrigan was also asked whether the criticism of broky’s performances this year has been fair.
– Yes and no, karrigan starts off.
– This is part of being a professional player and we’re doing everything we can to make everybody comfortable in the team, but in the end, it has to come from within yourself to come through the slump. We all know how ropz was last year, he wasn’t feeling good, but now he’s winning everything in Vitality.
broky, karrigan, and the rest of FaZe will return to action later today when they kick off their BLAST Rivals Season 1 campaign in Copenhagen. They’ll face Falcons in the opening round.
