Complexity has arrived in Austin with a severely decimated roster for the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Due to visa issues, the North American squad will miss the services of their second-highest-rated player this year, Håkon “Hallzerk” Fjærli.
Tough news for all — except one.
And that’s Paytyn “junior” Johnson, who will step in for Hallzerk at the Major in Texas.
In an interview with HLTV ahead of Stage 1, junior admitted that he was “kind of hoping” that Hallzerk wouldn’t get his visa, citing the personal opportunity it presents.
– For me, it’s pretty important. This opportunity is really big for me to prove myself once again, and I’m really excited. I was kind of hoping he wouldn’t get his visa so I can keep playing, but obviously he’s on their team, so if that does come, then I was grateful for the chance to at least showcase something.
junior and Complexity will kick off their Major campaign this Tuesday at 17:00 CET, when they take on OG in the opening round.
