BC.Game Esports have released a second statement regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad, five days after the allegations against the Norwegian player went public.
While reiterating that the events in question took place before jkaem joined the organization, BC.Game now confirms that the player has accepted full responsibility and agreed to a repayment plan to compensate those affected.
An extract from today’s statement:
“At BC.Game Esports, we do not condone such behavior but believe in second chances when paired with real accountability. After speaking with jkaem, he has taken full responsibility for his actions and has agreed to follow a plan to repay his financial obligations.
Because the situation occurred prior to his time with us, we have decided to support him through this process. If he does not fulfill his commitment and repayment plan, we will take further action as needed.”
The story short
The initial scandal surfaced earlier this week when a trader accused jkaem of scamming him for over $10,000 in CS2 skins, a claim jkaem later admitted to, adding that it wasn’t an isolated case and citing gambling addiction as a factor.
The former Apeks rifler has since then also been out publicly saying he’s a gambling addict, dating back to when he was 18 years old.
