FURIA has made a last-minute decision to withdraw from next week’s PGL Cluj-Napoca, the tournament organizer announced today.
According to PGL, the Brazilian squad is prioritizing “securing the necessary travel documents” for the BLAST Major in Austin, Texas.
Filling their spot at the $1.25 million event will be the all-female lineup Imperial fe, marking their third top-tier tournament appearance of the year after competing at BLAST Bounty Season 1 and the IEM Katowice Play-in.
Despite showing flashes of potential, they are still searching for their first victory at this level.
One more to the list
FURIA’s withdrawal makes them the seventh team to skip the Romanian tournament, joining Spirit, G2, NAVI, Vitality, Liquid, and GamerLegion in opting out.
Set to run from February 14th to 23rd, PGL Cluj-Napoca will feature 16 teams competing just days after IEM Katowice concludes.
