HEROIC is reportedly set to sign Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin and Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo as part of their ongoing roster rebuild, according to a report by Sheep Esports. The signing of gr1ks was first mentioned by insider GromovCS.
gr1ks, a 19-year-old AWPer from Belarus, is expected to join the team as Álvaro “SunPayus” García departs the roster.
On the coaching side, TOBIZ is reported to take over as head coach following the departure of Eetu “sAw” Saha. Both SunPayus and sAw are set to join G2 Esports after the conclusion of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
nilo returns to the server
Alongside the reported incoming changes, HEROIC recently moved Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç to the bench. xfl0ud joined the team earlier this year and played in multiple events, including the Austin Major, before being sidelined after the team’s elimination in Stage 2.
In connection with xfl0ud’s benching, Sheep Esports also reported that Linus “nilo” Bergman is expected to be promoted to the active lineup.
The 20-year-old Swede has been part of HEROIC since January but has not yet played an official match for the team.
Besides the benching of xlf0ud, HEROIC has not made any of the above roster moves official at the time of writing, but sources indicate the transition is already underway.
