Gambit has secured a spot in the next round of the upper bracket play for a spot in the playoffs after defeating Cloud9 2-0 on Vertigo (16-6) and Inferno (16-14), leaving Patrick “es3tag” Hansen and company one loss away from elimination.
The Russian-side was yesterday crowned DreamHack Open November champions, winning every one of their four matches, giving up just one map along the way and they’ll now look forward to playing in the next round of the upper bracket.
Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov shined on the scoreboard and led the way to victory with a rating of 1.36, 92.1 ADR, and a 44-36 score. His teammate Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov also had an excellent game that resulted in a 42-26 score and a rating of 1.34.
