Hobbit and company from Gambit are the champions of IEM Summer 2021 following a confident 3-0 win over OG in the bo5 Grand final of the event. Gambit’s Ax1Le played a massive role in the victory and helped his team by delivering a wonderful performance throughout the series.

The action of the bo5 grand final started on Gambit’s map pick of Mirage, where the Russian-side quickly won the first three rounds. Moments after, OG started to find their footing and grabbed five rounds in a row. But unfortunately for mantuu and company, Gambit picked themselves up and finished off first half with an 8-7 lead on the T-side. The second half of the map saw the Russian squad come out on top with a close 16-14 victory, with Ax1Le stepping up huge.
In the second map of the series on Dust2, OG came out good looking as they stormed to an 8-2 lead. But once again didn’t fall through and instead answered back by taking the last rounds of the half to make it 7-8 on the scoreboard. Gambit continued with their momentum on the CT-side, where they completely shut down OG’s offense to grab a 16-11 victory.
Gambit wrapped up the series 3-0 on Overpass where they delivered a flawless team performance to close out the map 16-7. Ax1Le once again topped the scoreboard on the server and helped his team to a quick title victory by delivering a strong 1.66 Rating. The Russian squad have not only secured the title but also $100.000 in prize earning, right before the BLAST Premier Spring Final event.
