FunPlus Phoenix is ready for the next round at the upper bracket in Flashpoint 3, as the European side secured a confident win against HYENAS in their opener at the event. A match, where the Danish roster clearly struggled against a well-playing FPX squad, which the dominant 2-0 result also implied.
HYENAS, which consists of profiled players like Philip ‘aizy’ Aistrup and Markus ‘Kjaerbye’ Kjærbye, didn’t manage to pressure FPX at any point in the match. Jesse “zehN” Linjala and company first dominated the Danes on their map pick of Vertigo, with a following devastating 16-6 defeat on Inferno to take the victory.
FPX will meet Anonymo in the upper quarterfinals, which is set to be played at Thursday (21:00 CET).
