Fnatic has officially signed Swedish AWPer Tim “nawwk” Jonasson on a long-term loan deal from BLEED. The organization confirmed the acquisition on Monday, with an option to buy once the loan period concludes.
nawwk’s arrival marks significant changes for Fnatic, as Aurélien “afro” Drapier has been moved to the inactive roster to make room for the Swedish star.
The move comes after Fnatic’s disappointing early exit at ESL Pro League Season 20, and the team hopes that nawwk will bring a new dynamic ahead of the Major RMRs.
– We believe that nawwk will bring a fresh perspective and much-needed energy to the team at a pivotal time for our development
– The team has faced some challenges recently, including a disappointing group-stage exit at EPL Season 20. However, we are optimistic that nawwk’s arrival will provide the positive refresh the team needs with all eyes on the Major RMRs, Fnatic states in a press release this Monday.
We are pleased to welcome our new AWP, @nawwkcs! We're excited for the positive refresh he will provide to the team at an important time for their development. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome. pic.twitter.com/uVZFJO57Nm
